We have a working prototype! Our machine can take an order via our app, and dispense the required toppings and liquid into the serving cup. Check out the end-to-end demo below.
This satisfies our Meeting 3 milestone and with this demo, we complete all of our criteria and objectives. Initially, ice dispensing was in our criteria, however, we have decided to remove it due to budget constraints and the current Covid-19 environment making it difficult to acquire suitable parts and suppliers.
We do plan on making small improvements before the final demo day, namely as it relates to customer experience. We would like to add cup detection so that the drink-making process isn't started until a cup is present, and the next order isn't started until the cup is replaced. In addition, the app can also be improved slightly to be a little bit more intuitive.
Overall, the machine is basically done. Awesome job team! :)
