Week 2 - Load Cell Mount and Testing

As part of our machine design, we are using a load cell to control how much fluid / topping we dispense in our cup. We purchased a TAL221 500g miniature load cell for this purpose. With it, we also purchased an HX711 load cell amplifier. The amp is required as the sensor is only able to output very low voltage signals. The amp also comes with an analog-to-digital converter which is useful.

We designed a mount for the load cell and 3D-printed it. It looks pretty cool!

We've also tested the load cell with amplifier, verifying it works and determining the weight factor for calibration.
